General Settings allow you to define global configurations for product sliders and recommendation behavior across your site. These options help maintain visual consistency, control product visibility, and streamline bulk management without requiring repeated customization.
The settings configured here apply site-wide and act as defaults for sliders, bulk edit screens, and recommendation features.
How to Access General Settings
Navigate to the WordPress admin dashboard and go to:
Related Products Pro > Settings > General
- Select background color: This setting allows admins to choose the background color of the product slider. The selected color will be applied to all product sliders across the site by default.
- Select button color: This setting allows admins to choose the background color of the slider navigation buttons (Previous / Next), ensuring the buttons align with the site’s design and branding.
- Select Button Arrow Icon Color: This setting lets admins control the arrow icon color inside the slider buttons, improving visibility and contrast based on the chosen button color.
- Display Rating for products in Slider: When enabled, product ratings (star ratings) will be displayed within product sliders. This helps build trust and encourages users to explore recommended products.
- Hide product variations from the Bulk Edit screen: This option allows admins to hide individual product variations from the Bulk Edit screen, making bulk management cleaner and easier to navigate.
- Remove Discontinued products from slider: When enabled, discontinued products will be excluded from frontend sliders, ensuring only active and available products are shown to customers.
- Remove Discontinued products from backend: This setting removes discontinued products from backend listings and configuration screens, helping admins focus only on active products while managing recommendations.
- Export Related Products Data: This option allows admins to export configuration data for:
- Related Products
- Upsell Products
- Cross-sell Products
Selected data can be exported together using the Export button for backup or migration purposes.
- Import Related Products Data: Admins can import previously exported recommendation data using a file upload. This is useful for:
- Site migrations
- Staging-to-live synchronization
- Reusing configurations across multiple stores
