Once you have successfully configured the ChatGPT API Key, we are ready to get product recommendations using AI.
First Visit Dashboard > Related Products Pro here you will find a button that says ‘Setup With AI’ on the top right corner of the screen. Click on it and a pop-up for initiating the AI Product Recommendation process will be displayed.
AI Product Suggestions – Configuration Options
The AI Product Suggestions setup helps you generate intelligent Related Products, Upsells, and Cross-Sells using AI. This guided flow allows you to control which products are analyzed, what data is considered, how many suggestions are generated, and how the results are saved and reviewed.
Below is a detailed explanation of each configuration option shown in the AI Product Suggestions screen.
1. All Products
This option allows you to generate AI-powered product suggestions for all products in your store.
When selected, the system analyzes the entire product catalog and generates recommendations for every product automatically.
2. Select Product Categories
Use this option to limit AI suggestions to specific product categories.
Only products belonging to the selected categories will be considered when generating recommendations, making this ideal for targeted campaigns or category-specific optimization.
3. Select Individual Products
This option allows you to generate AI suggestions for specific products only.
Admins can manually select individual products, and AI recommendations will be generated exclusively for those selected items.
4. Product Details to Include in AI Analysis
Here, admins can choose which product details should be included when generating suggestions. Available options include:
- Product URL
- Product Name
- Product Price
- Product Short Description
Selecting the right combination helps AI better understand your products and generate more relevant recommendations.
5. Choose the Type of Product Suggestions
This option lets admins decide which types of recommendations should be generated for each product:
- Related Products
- Upsells
- Cross-Sells
Only the selected types will be generated. Any unchecked option will be excluded from the results.
6. Number of Product Suggestions per Product
Admins can specify how many product suggestions should be generated per product, per suggestion type.
For example, if you enter 3, AI will generate up to:
- 3 Related Products
- 3 Upsells
- 3 Cross-Sells
(depending on the options selected above).
7. Describe Your Store
This field allows admins to provide a brief description of their store, including the type of products sold, target audience, or brand positioning.
This information helps AI better align recommendations with your store’s overall theme and product strategy.
8. Suggestions Saving Preference
This setting controls how AI-generated suggestions are handled after processing:
- Save and apply automatically – Suggestions are saved and displayed on the site immediately.
- Review manually before saving – Suggestions are generated first, allowing admins to review and approve them before applying.
9. Notification Email Address
When manual review is enabled, admins can provide one or more email addresses to receive a notification once the AI suggestions are ready. Multiple email addresses can be entered, separated by commas.
10. Extra Instructions (Optional)
This optional field allows admins to provide additional guidance to fine-tune AI-generated suggestions.
For example, you can request exclusions, prioritize certain product types, or apply specific business rules to the recommendations.
