Assigning Multiple Certificates to a Lesson

With the Multiple Certificates feature, you can add multiple certificates to a course, group, lessons, and quizzes.
Creating certificates for lessons

  1. Under the LearnDash LMS goto Lessons
  2. Edit the lesson you want to add multiple certificates to, and use the required shortcode we provide if needed.
  3. Goto the settings of the Lesson
  4. In Display and Content options, enable lesson certificates
  5. Add one or more certificates to the lesson
  1. Once you have added all the certificates click on the update button

After completing a lesson, the student will be able to download the certificate by clicking the certificate icon available on the course page next to the lesson names. A pop-up will appear, allowing them to download the certificate.

Certificates can also be displayed on the All User Certificates page, if enabled. [Learn more about the All User Certificates page]

Note: If you are using the latest version of LearnDash with Modern UI (Beta) enabled and the “Course Page” toggle turned on under LearnDash Settings > General > Modern UI > Course Page: On, multiple certificates (including course and lesson certificates) may not be visible. To ensure users can access all their certificates, please use the shortcode: mcsld_user_certificates]
This will display all available certificates to the end user on a custom page.

Multiple Certificates to Lessons Shortcodes

Certificates for lessons can be created in the same way as they are created for course/group/quiz
The [usermeta] shortcode will work the same way when creating lesson certificates.
Following are the shortcodes that can be used for lesson information
For creating lesson certificates [lessoninfo] shortcodes can be used

  • [lessoninfo show=”lesson_title”] – Displays the lesson Title
  • [lessoninfo show=”lesson_url”] – Displays the lesson URL
  • [lessoninfo show=”lesson_completed_on”] – Displays the date when the lesson was completed

For specifying the format of the date use shortcode parameter format=”required_format” eg [lessoninfo show=”lesson_completed_on” format=”required_format” ]
